We’re laser-focused on delivering exceptional service and expert support to our clients, and we’re ranked among the top EMIs in Lithuania in client funds, turnover, and revenue. As we scale, we’re expanding to lead the merchant services space, and we’re seeking a Senior Product Manager (Acquiring) with deep domain expertise in card schemes and payment processing to lead this journey.

In this role, you will be the strategic architect of our acquiring ecosystem – from managing card scheme relationships and regulatory mandates to building a world-class payment gateway that supports Apple Pay, Google Pay, and beyond.

What We Offer

  • Competitive compensation: 5000-8000 euros gross, based on your experience and knowledge, with room for negotiation.
  • Teamwork: Work within a dedicated product engineering squad alongside an engineering manager and several engineers, taking full end-to-end ownership of your product domain.
  • Health insurance: Comprehensive health coverage after 3 months.
  • Work-life balance: Flexible work arrangements, including hybrid and remote options (after the probation period).
  • Professional development: Up to 1000 euros annual reimbursement for work-related training and courses.
  • Inspiring workspace: Modern office on the top floor of Vilnius’ highest office building, offering stunning city views and parking.
  • Wellness benefits: Gym membership to support your physical well-being.
  • Vibrant company culture: Regular company events, city-wide gatherings, and bi-annual company-wide adventures.
  • Collaborative environment: A flat hierarchy where you can freely communicate with anyone and make decisions quickly.

Requirements

  • 4-6+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on card acquiring, merchant services, payments orchestration, or card issuing.
  • Expert-level domain knowledge of card network internals, including a deep understanding of clearing, settlement, and interchange.
  • Network proficiency with a proven ability to navigate Visa/Mastercard rules, handle mandates, and manage risk-related programs like VIRP.
  • Focus on what actually brings value for our customers, prioritizing the 20% of features that deliver 80% of impact.
  • Backend and API depth with the ability to read and understand technical specifications and advocate for robust, scalable architecture.
  • Advanced analytical skills including the ability to conduct in-depth data analysis and make critical decisions even with incomplete information.
  • Leadership and influence skills to navigate difficult discussions, explain trade-offs, and build consensus across different departments.
  • Ability to own a larger product area end-to-end, demonstrating accountability for the success of multiple initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex initiatives: Manage the end-to-end product lifecycle for multiple high-stakes acquiring initiatives, ensuring they meet business outcomes.
  • Define acquiring strategy: Develop a clear vision for merchant services that aligns with VIALET’s overall goals and identifies new market opportunities.
  • Architect the merchant experience: Conduct research to build seamless onboarding and payment flows, specifically incorporating Apple Pay and Google Pay integrations.
  • Master network and risk compliance: Interpret, triage, and initiate projects based on complex regulatory changes and semi-annual mandates from card networks like Visa and Mastercard.
  • Lead VIRP participation: Take full responsibility for ensuring all development adheres to network-specific risk programs and compliance requirements.
  • Drive execution: Maintain a prioritized backlog and work with engineering to deliver simple, maintainable solutions that consider long-term technical implications.
  • Communicate with leadership: Effectively present product plans, strategic decisions, and performance metrics to executive leadership and stakeholders.
  • Measure success: Define and track complex KPIs for both the product and the team’s performance to drive data-informed improvements.
